I love to run. I really improved from my last race. I ran 21:58 my PR. I felt good of what I did. The coarse was good. I did not like the part where you had to go up and back, but like the part where you go through the garden. It was a nice day but it was still hot. |

After school I had a kids track meet at East High. It was really hot. I ran a 1600 hundred in 6:35.5, and 55 meter hurdles 8.74 and the 55 meter dash in 7.74. I also did shotput in 20'3" and long jump 11'7". I ran at school a one mile against Carter I beat him by a minute. I ran it about 6:30. |

This is for the triathalon. It was hot. I did the shotput in 21'3", and the high jump in 4 feet and a quarter inch which also was a new bantam boy state record and then the 400 in 1:22.Together the 3events were a state bantam boy triathalon record at 477 points.
I need to run a better faster 400 meter to improve my scoring and help me run faster in other races

Ran judges 5K, dont know my time yet. I got 2nd in age group but didnt like having to run with kids up to 14 years and race was hot and trail not easy. Was 45th of 178 runners
Then I went to a USATF track meet, was tired and it was very hot so ran shorter distances. Got 2nd in 400 at 1:21.3 and 2nd in 800, a PR at 2:59. Also 2nd in 4x100 relay and I won javelin 71 feet, and long jump 12 feet.

| I went to the USATF state meet, I was feeling good today. The first event I did was the Longjump I jump 11'10" I got first, then I did the mini-javelin throw at 69'7" and got first then I did the 1500 in 5:54.13 my PR then I did the 800 in 2:50.49 my PR and I got first place in them. In the 1500m I was really close to this older girl near the end of the race it was a really close but I beat her by 1/100th of a second because I leaned. It was a good state track meet, I got 5 gold medals. |

Had a race today it was hard race because it was hot. I did not like the race course because it was a long a busy street, but I end up getting my PR 21:23 which is about 35 seconds better than my best time before. I easily got first in my age group.My dad told me that this is a very good time for my age.I even beat some older kids that I have never beat before. I was 91st of 812 runners and 1st of 36 in my age group.
One of the other kids that I am racing in the cicuit races ran in a different race. I dont like how they have two circuit races on the same day.Why do they do this?
On Monday and Tuesday I did not run but I had eight hours basketball. | |

First I did not get much running be cause I had basketball camp most the week except for the 5k I ran on the 4th of July and the track meet today. Today I did not as well as I usualy do in the javelin, I have been loosing my throwing form, but I still won it, today I got throw the real javelin for fun. I did the long jump today, I got second at 12'1" which is pretty good jump for me but I need to stop getting frusterated when I do not jump well. I did the 1500m run, I got my PR of 5:52.23 even though it was hot, people tell me I could do better, but I still won my age group. I need to work on my form when I get tired. I did the 200m dash for fun, I got second in my age group at 34.21, and I also ran in the 4x100m relay and our team got first. We have decided not to go the regional meet in New Mexico because of cost and time, I will run my last track meet of the year at the county championships next Friday. I am going to try to do well in the 1500m and the 800m run even though it is going to be over 100 degrees. |

Today was the first race of the Provo Series. It was a short race, only a 1K. I got my PR by 38 seconds from last. My dad said I had pretty good form that race, but during the middle he said my form was okay. I caught one older kid at the end of the race. I have been improving on my form, but I still can improve. |

We had to go near the Great Salt Lake for the Hooper tomato Days. It was really hot, there weren't many trees. I had a chance to get some money but it was pretty hard because I would have to beat 17 year olds, and I ended up at 3rd. It wasnt easy course, I was 22:22. But I still had fun. Then I did the kids 1/2 mile race and I was still pretty tired, and I ended getting 2:58.7.
Then I had crosscountry practice, and I took it easy. We worked on going up and down the hills.

| This was a steep downhill race but not as hard as I thought. My legs got very tired running downhill. Sometimes I got off the road as I was worried about cars. Some of them came too close. I liked the race and after it I won a racing hat and won a night to stay this winter at the lodge. I got to go into the hot tub and have a barbeque dinner. This was my last usatf race. I won all 8 races that I ran and got a perfect score of 328 points. But I did not win the circuit because I did not run in the winter races when I like playing basketball. My dad also would not let me run in long races like half and marathon. But I know that I am the best runner and next year I will win it. It makes me sad but my dad said those are the rules. We went down to BYU for a kids 1 mile race. I felt very good in the race. My dad said I had good form, I aslo had good start and finish. I easily won the 5th grade boys 1st 0f 30 runners. This is the best 5th grade boy time since the race started in 1999. There were 309 runners total. I was 3rd overall with 2 6th graders beating me.
My Dad also told me I lost the USATF long distance circuit racing by 3 points overall. This is weird as I won all the races this summer but he said I didnt win championship because I didnt run in winter races or do longer races than 10k. I still did very good this summer |

| Woke up for the race. When I was running I got a big cramp for almost the whole race. I did not have good form. I think I drank water too for the race so I still had quite a bit of water still in my stomach. Will try to drink less before race next time. I still did Ok getting 2nd in my age group. I also won my 3rd trophy in a row for the Provo running series which is exciting. In this race I am saying 20th place because that includes the open high school runners. Without the high school runners I would be in top 10. |

This is a race that was on Saturday night but I could fit it on since it was the 2nd race I ran that day. After a not best race this morning, I did want to have another bad race. I got a PR by about 27 seconds. My watch had me at 20:01 and the clock had me at 20:01, but the time reported was 19:52 which some runners counted. My Dad and I decided to use the slower time we had on the watch and not what they listed. I had a great race ! I won my age group and got a $15 gift card for running store
Today I ran 5 and half miles with my dad and my dog in Dimple Dell Park. I enjoyed it.

Had to get up early for regionals. I was feeling really good. I had some oatmeal for breakfast. I did OK. Our team got first which was a supprise. I improved from place 19 from last year to place 11. I started out too fast. I was within two tenths of a second from my time of state at this regionals. I got a medal for getting in the top 20, and a trophy for our team getting 1st. Things I need to work are getting a little slower start, work on form, keep my head up, do a long warmup, do the up hills faster. Things I did good on were down hills, landing on the middle of my foot, long warmup, not think about tiredness and pain. i felt I did prettyy good overall. I am going to nationals in December to Lawrence,Kansas. I am really excited to got to nationals.
Then I had competetive basketball practice at Fort Herrimann Middle School. We did 2 hours of scrimmages. I had a lot of fun.

| In lawrense Kansas. Got race packet, bought sweatshirt, walked and ran course. It is very icee and there are some steep hills, There are 2 neat covered bridges we run through. Then got to the Olympic ceremony and we walked in like the Olympics by region. saw Billy Mills give a real cool talk i want to run like him |

today i ran in the national olympic championship for kids. i did good but did not get all american. I placed 50th out of over 300 runners, so i think i still did very good. My time was 12:22 which is better than I did at regionals and state. many kids did not improve. It was a very hard race, weather was very coldd. I started out ok and passed many kids on hills both up and down but some passed me on flats. it was windy and spome freezeing rain. There was ice and snow on trail. I dressed warm and wore a baliklavio on my head. i finished strong. My team got 6 place which is good too i think as there were many teems.this probably will be my last blog for awhile. I play basketball too which I really like now. my dad sais maybe we will run some winter race and practice if there isnt basketball. i dont run all year becasue of other sportsI had a good run year with prs in all races distance but i did not do a 4k. in track in spring I broke 3 state recors. I want to run a half maratghon next year but my dad says maybe. have fun running you bloggers and Merry christmas | |
