Ran in the Salt Creek invitational open race. I was 42 of over 240. Most of the kids run under 22 minutes so it is fast race. It is fun race as you jump over hay bayles,  and run up wood stairs and run through a tunnel where there was a world war 2 gun battery. It is through campground, in forest and above the ocean by port angeles. After the race my dad and I went to see the tide pools. I also got a Salt Creek running shirt. I need to get closer to my HS competition and my goal.

Race: Sequim Middle School Crosscountry (1.8 Miles) 00:09:52, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2

I watched the middle school race they wont let me run because im in sixth grade and it is for 7 and 8 grade. So the coach let me run the course on my own after the race and my dad timed me. I goofed up on first try, ran a mile and went wrong way so I had to try again. this time I ran the right way and finished the race. Even with no one to run with and being tired from already running a mile my time was the 2nd best. Only adrian a fast 8th grader who is 3 years older than me would have beat me and he is one of the best in Washington. There were 3 schools. i was mad for running wrong the first time so that helped me run fast the next time. My dad says we need to measure the course as this is a fast time but the coach said it is 1.85 miles

i just checked fastblog says that is 5:19 per mile so my dad is probably right it must be a shorter distance so we will run again sometime and measure with my dads garmin

I am updating this, the middle school coach said it is 1.8 miles and he measured it twice. that would be 5:28 miles but my Dad thinks we should someday measure it

Today we had a 1 mile race at my school, I did Ok but only was 6:02 which I think is good but my dad says I can run faster. It was on track and I lapped every kid at school. The next best time was 7:58

Then i ran at Robin Hill in the forest on trails with older kids in the afternoon
